HER GUARDING DEMON
"You betrayed me Naina. I hate you for this. Mai iske liye apko kabhi maaf nhi krunga. I don't even want to see your face" Mihir said , his fists clenched, the weight of his childhood pain resurfacing, twisting Naina's face into a mirror of that old pain. Naina's hazel eyes brimming with tears that spiked like shattered dreams. Her surgeon's hands, so steady in the OR, shook as she reached for him, her voice barely making a sound as she plea " Aisa nhi hai, aap galat samjh rhe hai. Humne kuch nhi kiya, hame nhi pata tha, hamari baat maniye." Her words cracked, raw with anguish, her bubbly spirit drowned in the flood of his accusations. For a fleeting second, Mihir's gaze softened, her tears slicing through his anger like a scalpel. He saw her-his Shona, the woman who'd traced his scars, who'd kissed his nightmares away. Was that guilt in her eyes? Fear? Or the same hurt tearing him apart? But the ghosts of his past roared louder. His heart, so newly opened, slammed shut. Thud! The door shook as he stormed out, leaving Naina alone in their home, her sobs echoing against the walls. She sank to the floor, clutching the scarf he'd once called hers, whispering, "Heer, please come back." Outside, Mihir's steps faltered, her voice haunting him, but the night swallowed him whole. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- MIHIR × NAINA BOOK 1 IN COMMANDO SERIES
